Sales & Hire Representative

Job Description

  • Basic salary plus commission, car, telephone and computer
  • Liaise closely with office staff and come into the office a minimum of twice a week
  • General admin duties
  • Following up on leads that come into the office
  • Check emails throughout the day
  • Liaise with customers/ answer any queries
  • Arrange any on site demonstrations
  • Do a full and comprehensive site survey completing relevant paperwork to support findings
  • Ask for assistance and guidance from M.D should you be unsure of truck specifications/ensuring that the truck is suitable for purpose
  • Go through paperwork with MD before finalising contracts
  • Inform office of any address site changes
  • Arrange daily/weekly work schedules plus cold calling
  • Undertake training as required
  • Complete all paperwork with service contracts included
  • Respond to queries with 24hours
  • Raise quotes for trucks
  • Renew short/long-term hire
  • Generate new business/ customers
  • Hit targets for the year
  • Check prices and availability of trucks
  • Ask MD or General Manager for truck specifications if a job is unusual or specialised
  • Able to “close” deals
  • Liaise closely with Transport Manager to arrange transportation of truck/trucks.
  • Maybe required to work additional hours occasionally
  • Allocated work areas

Workshop Manager

We currently have a full time vacancy for a workshop manager to join our existing friendly team. We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced individual to manage all aspects of our workshop. We are a family run business with over 30 years’ experience and pride ourselves on customer care. You will be an experienced performance manager having worked in a similar role and have strong leadership skills with the ability to deliver solid results both mechanically and through effective people management. Relevant industry experience is essential as is the ability to lead people through change. You will have accountability to drive profit through your management experience and achieve set targets through effective performance management. Hours will be full time approx. 45 p/w across five days, there is a need for some flexibility as and when required.
